Sophisticated, Handsome, Confident, Charming, Well-mannered, Well-groomed and Bright... The pedigree of the modern Conservative man, a man such as M4MLIFE's premier issue centerfold
Auran Awan.
A native of Pakistan, Auran Awan is a recent graduate of Old Dominion University with a degree in Finance and Economics. Auran arrived in the United States 2003 and has lived in Hampton, Virginia for 2 years.
I think what most impressed our panel when considering Auran was his cultural comfortability.
24 year old with a bright future in the world of finance and economics Auran has already a number of accomplishments to speak of... former Calvin Klein model spring line 2005 and president of SIFE Organization and President of Omericon Delta Epsilon are but a few of many most impressive achievements.Truly an extraordinary gentleman Auran is currently wrapping up some post graduate work and seeking a position in the world of (business/finance/economics). Having someone of Mr Awan's educational background and intellectual prowess would certainly be an asset to any business or financial institution. If you are interested in interviewing Mr. Awan, his c.v./resume is available by clicking here.
Gregarious and a brilliant smile that captures the attention of the room... add to the natural gift of easy conversation... Auran charms.
Stylish, the modern conservative sense, always well kept and poised but not at all posed, Auran's look is tall dark and handsome: model and movie star perfect.
Auran lives his life open but not necessarily outspoken .
My sexuality is part of me (but) not the whole me. - Auran Awan
Our interview with Auran reveal he is a concise and direct individual. Here is what we asked him:
Where are you from and how did you come to live in Hampton Roads?
I'm from Pakistan. Studies and fate brought me here
Obviously you are a worldly gentleman. How did you find the cultural adaptation to Virginia?
Certainly, it was cultural shock. Pakistan, Jewish High School (I went there), and Virginia don't go along very well (But I have made the best of every experience and every challenge.)
Tell us about your community involvement. (clubs, groups, committees, volunteer efforts, etc.)
I am a president of SIFE Organization: where entrepreneurs design projects from ground up to benefit the local community and in third world countries. Also, a President of Omericon Delta Epsilon, an honors economic fraternity/society that facilitates in-depth analysis of economic models.
To be an economist who can understand what happens tomorrow, today.
Is it true you are just completing courses and seeking to begin a career? For what field have your studies prepared you, and how are you finding the job market? Studies helped in understanding the complexities of the world of financial economies. Of all the people, economist (becoming of one) certainly know the depth of the degenerating job market. Unfortunately, I know this because I don't have one! (yet)
Do you feel there is a need to justify your lifestyle in the professional arena?
Lifestyle should not govern your professional arena and your professional arena should not govern your lifestyle.
You live an out and proud lifestyle, rather than an out and loud lifestyle. In conversation you've mentioned a majority of your friends are straight. Clearly you have a comfort level with yourself that most anyone would be envious of. To what do you attribute this self awareness.
My sexuality is part of me and not the whole me.
A bit on the traditionally conservative side. Coming out to them was purely accidental. It was one of those situations where "think before you leap" proverb should be applied, but in this case, I did not think! The words left me before I could catch them and then, it was complete silence. However, like most Bollywood movies, it was a happy ending.
In a state such as Virginia where civil liberties are discretionary, living an open lifestyle can be a challenge in building a career. We are all well aware of basic challenges but these additional challenges can, for some, be insurmountable. Have you faced any challenges based upon your lifestyle? If so, how do you reconcile them?
Let the professionalism, education, and work ethic speak for itself and that way lifestyle will not hinder any career path. Acceptance will follow when We accept ourselves as ONE. If we can not unite, then the acceptance from the other side will not follow through. Look at Hampton roads, there is no respectable venue where gays can unite and share there intellectual views and converse without having to stay with-in their comfort zone aka their cliques? Civil Liberties begins with-in us and then it will spread like wild fire.
What have been the lessons learned from life and by your formal education that you'd most like others to have the benefit of knowing?
A return on investment comes from investing in a SANE investor.
